Egg tempera with earth pigments on a natural linen canvas. Return to an attempt to use only natural materials. The size is 50 x 60 cm.
The painting process is much slower than it was before, a very meditative proces over several days, weeks. Today I read a poem from Emily Dickinson. 'Nature' is what We see - The Hill - the Afternoon - Squirrel - Eclipse - the Bumble bee - Nay - Nature is Heaven - 'Nature' is what We hear - The Bobolink - the Sea - Thunder - the Cricket - Nay - Nature is Harmony 'Nature' what We know - But have have no Art to say - So impotent our Wisdom is To Her Sincerity - Since September I did start to study again: Chinese medecin and Qi gong. It takes a lot of time and energy but it is exciting to explore this thinking. It often feels like remembering. Before I started I knew that collecting knowledge is not essential. More important it is, to take time to listen to the birds and feel the wind on the skin or watch the stars. |
