Exploring the abundance of little islands in Scotland. The light and energy is so very different from El Hierro. Nonetheless it is the same Atlantic Ocean around these islands. But what a different kind of Ocean it is. Here the life in the colder ocean is very rich of nutrients and attracting lots of fish, the sea plants are huge and lying everywhere along the coast and smell.
There are dark old volcanic rocks with colours inside and very light sandy beaches. There are pale shades of emerald and turquoise in the water especially when the light is falling on the white sand under the water.
But what a difference in temperature and how humid the air is. Feeling as if your clothes wil never get dry again. And for four days already we did not see any sun. But then the sun bursts out, it still feels fresh but nonetheless my skin gets burnt.
