Mixed media 18 x 25 cm.
The first is made with a mango. The fruit is rolling down the tree right now all ripe at the same time and too much too eat. The colour is very powerful. Curious how it will stay over time and how it will be influenced by the light. I will have to leave it outside for some time because it attracts little ants and that will probably speed up my research. The second is made with Cochenille lice which are living abundantly in the garden around the house. They give a strange colour mixture depending on the concentration in which you use them. But I don't want to kill to many of them. It allows for a more airy little painting. The third is again inspired on the tide pools at the coast, so full of life and reflecting the light in so many colours. That light intensity is very difficult to catch with paint. The paint as a material seems already too dense.
